Trusting in Unseen Love – Walking by Faith, Not by Sight
📖 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7
Love is often associated with things we can see—grand gestures, heartfelt words, and tangible acts of kindness. But some of the greatest expressions of love happen in the unseen—through faith, trust, and perseverance.
As we continue our Faithful Love series, let’s explore how learning to trust in God’s love, even when we don’t see the full picture, deepens our faith and strengthens our spiritual journey.
What Does It Mean to Walk in Faith & Love?
Faith and love are intertwined. Just as love requires trust, patience, and surrender, so does our walk with God. We often want certainty before we act, clarity before we commit, and proof before we believe. But God calls us to step out in faith, even when we don’t see the outcome.
📖 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1
Walking by faith means believing in God’s love, even when circumstances seem uncertain. It means choosing to:
✔️ Trust that God is working behind the scenes.
✔️ Love even when it’s difficult.
✔️ Surrender control and embrace God’s plan over our own.
✨ Reflection: Think of a time when you had to trust in God’s love without seeing the full picture. How did He show up for you?
3 Ways to Strengthen Your Faith & Trust in God’s Love
1. Release Fear and Embrace Trust
Fear often keeps us from fully walking in faith. We hesitate to move forward because we don’t know what’s next. But trusting in God’s love means believing that He is leading us, even when we can’t see the way.
📖 “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” – Isaiah 41:10
✨ Journaling Prompt: Write about a situation where fear held you back. How can you release that fear and choose faith instead?
2. Find Love in the Waiting
Sometimes, God’s love is most evident in the waiting. We may not always receive immediate answers, but that doesn’t mean God isn’t working. Delayed blessings don’t mean denied blessings.
📖 “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.” – Lamentations 3:25
✨ Journaling Prompt: Where in your life are you waiting on God? Write about how you can trust Him in this season.
3. Let God’s Love Guide Your Actions
Faith isn’t just about what we believe—it’s about how we live. When we fully trust in God’s love, it changes the way we act, love, and serve others.
📖 “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:35
✨ Journaling Prompt: How can you show love today that reflects God’s love for you? Write down one way you can be intentional about love in action.
Faith, Love, and the Journey Forward
Walking by faith means learning to trust God’s love, even in uncertainty. It’s about choosing love over fear, patience over doubt, and surrender over control.
💡 This Week’s Challenge: Each day, take a step of faith and love, even when the outcome isn’t clear. Write about what you learn in your journal.
